TNGA Toyota Concept like MQB Volkswagen


TOKYO - Toyota will sell the first car built with the framework of the exchange of parts and platforms in 2015. Framework known as the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) that aims to cut the cost of production and labor.
Toyota Plans are meant to follow the steps that have developed the concept Volkswagen MQB (Modularer Querbaukasten) or Modular Transverse Matrix. The Volkswagen concept has even been realized in the
development of models of VW Golf, Audi A3, Seat Leon and Skoda Octavia.
According to Toyota the framework concept cars TNGA then created could share parts of at least between 20 to 30 percent. Toyota executive vice president Mitsuhisa Kato even estimate the number of components that can be shared to penetrate 70 to 80 percent.
"Competition among global automakers in the higher levels, and TNGA is one of our efforts to be more efficient and able to make products that are attractive,"
